What a two-week MVP really includes
IdeaLaunch Team · August 2, 2026
When we say a two-week MVP, people assume there is a catch. There is no catch, but there is a discipline: the first version does one job well and skips everything else.
What goes in
The one flow that makes money or saves time. For a food business that is taking an order. For a service business that is booking an appointment. One flow, working end to end, on a real phone.
An admin view the owner actually opens. If the owner cannot see orders, bookings, or messages without calling a developer, the product is not done.
Real accounts and real data from day one. No demo mode. The first customer uses the same system the thousandth will.
What waits
Loyalty points, analytics dashboards, multi-branch support, and integrations all wait for version two. Not because they do not matter, but because they matter more once real usage tells you how they should work.
TindaGo started this way: inventory and sales first, nothing else. The other fourteen tools came after real stores asked for them, in the order they asked.
Why two weeks and not two months
Speed is not the goal. Feedback is. Every week a product sits unfinished is a week of guessing what customers want. Two weeks of building followed by real usage beats two months of building on assumptions, every time.
